Manufacturing at SEL

Differential pay for shifts and locations are available, and SEL employee owners in all roles and locations are eligible for benefits on their first day. If you enjoy working with a team and developing your skills in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, then this position is for you.

Electronic Devices

Our devices protect, monitor, and control the flow of electricity in power systems around the world. We take pride in manufacturing them by hand to ensure the highest level of quality, because our customers depend on them to keep the lights on.We offer extensive training to ensure everyone can do their job well and that they will have the ability to innovate and improve processes. Internal education and apprenticeship programs help us grow employee owners at every level into a variety of manufacturing, technician, managerial, and other roles, carrying the expertise of the factory floor to every level of the company.

Panel Assembly

Every SEL device is installed in a panel or enclosure before it is put into service, and panels are unique for each customer and installation. We take pride in the craft of panel design and assembly, where every handmade product is shipped ready to be installed and put into service.We ensure that every shipped panel is ready for service by training assembly teams to read wiring diagrams, certifying them with IPC-A-620 endorsements, and trusting them to use that expertise to meet customer needs.

Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing

Circuit boards are a fundamental component of every electronic device, and we manufacture our own at the SEL Schwartz Campus in Moscow, ID. We believe in taking ownership of our processes to ensure quality and availability of parts for everything we create.Operators in the printed circuit board factory are trained to use state-of-the-art equipment to safely and efficiently create the circuit boards that support our electronic devices.
